N25 KAJANG : BETRAYAL FOR THE GREATER GOOD?

It is absolutely inconceivable to think how Lee Chin Cheh, an ADUN (State Assemblyman), who was just elected by the people less than a year ago, could easily betrayed the trust of the people by vacating his seat without any logical reason.

Mind you, "For the greater good of Pakatan Rakyat" as Lee puts it, is hardly a reason at all.

He may think that the people is blind, but we know better. 

It is an open secret that there is a glaring power struggle in the leadership of the Selangor Government. Lee's resignation as the ADUN of Kajang is actually just a piece of a bigger 'strategy' in motion.

So, let's try to put pieces together.

On one hand, we have Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, a corporate-turn-politician figure, who is now the Menteri Besar of Selangor. He is on his second term in that position after Pakatan Rakyat won the state again in the 13th General Election (GE13). Khalid is well-known to all as the proxy of PKR President, Dr Wan Azizah, who is also the wife of Opposition Leader, Anwar Ibrahim.

On the other hand, we have Azmin Ali (a.k.a Si Tanggang - click here), who have been loyal to Anwar since their days in UMNO many years ago. Azmin is now the Deputy President of PKR. He is said to hold a lot of Anwar's secrets, making Anwar vulnerable to Azmin's every demands.

However, making Azmin the Menteri Besar of Selangor is a demand that Anwar finds difficult to fulfill. 

After GE13 last May, Azmin disappointedly disclosed that he was verbally promised by Anwar himself, the position of Menteri Besar Selangor should PR wins the state in that election. GE13 came and go, and PR did win Selangor with an increased number of assemblymen, but Azmin was never made the Menteri Besar as promised. 

Since then, it is said that Azmin have been bugging PKR leadership to make him the Menteri Besar of Selangor as promised. This obviously does not jell well with Khalid's camp.

And the Azmin-Khalid friction became more and more obvious by the day.

Another piece of this puzzle is PKR's allay, PAS, who was actually the REAL HERO for PR in Selangor in the last election when they won 15 constituencies, as compared to PKR who had a reduced number of reps to 14 assemblymen. Technically, Selangor should have been a PAS-led state. But mysteriously, PAS never stood up for their rights and allowed Khalid to be sworn in as the Menteri Besar for the second term. Together with DAP, PAS have nominated and seal the deal for Khalid to remain as Menteri Besar of Selangor after GE13, of course to the dismay of Azmin, who have been eyeing on that post.

This puts Anwar in a tight spot. Although Anwar is seen to be favoring Azmin as the Menteri Besar, but ousting Khalid, who received support from PAS, DAP and also a known proxy to his president wife, will be a big challenge.

A few months back, out of the blue - suddenly there were rumors going around saying that Khalid's time as Menteri Besar is almost up. People are saying that it is just a matter of time before he will be kicked out from that position. 

All eyes were on Azmin, the obvious! But of course, these rumors were denied.

This eventually led to the shameful resignation of Lee Chin Cheh, the ADUN of Kajang. He is still alive and healthy, and without providing any justified reason - he just resigned. An absolute betrayal of the people's trust.

To the surprise of many, Anwar Ibrahim was named as the PR's candidate to contest in the by election in Kajang, giving strength to the rumors of Anwar overthrowing Khalid as the Menteri Besar. This is really a downgrade from Anwar's lifetime ambition of becoming the next Prime Minister.

Interestingly, Lee's resignation and Anwar's candidacy in N25 DUN Kajang was done is such a hurry and filled with mysteries. Even top leadership of Pakatan Rakyat were blind-sided on this matter.

Among others..

Azmin Ali was absent during the press conference where Anwar was named as the candidate for Kajang. This definitely raised a lot of eye brows. When asked by reporters if he support Anwar's candidacy for Kajang, Azmin did not give a direct answer, but instead he said that the decision have already been made and described himself as 'small man' and that his opinion does not matter.

Lim Guan Eng, who is the Secretary General of DAP and the Chift Minister of Penang, said that he only found out about the vacancy in Kajang and Anwar's candidacy through the media.

Nasrudin Tantawi, a member of PAS Central Committee, who is also the Head of PAS Youth wing, came out with guns blazing, condemning the development after hearing about Lee's betrayal to the people and Anwar's candidacy for Kajang through the media. He went on even further than other leaders by calling it HARAM.

Besides the leaders, the people have also came out to voiced out their surprise and frustration on the development in Kajang. Almost immediately after Anwar was named as the candidate, netizens started to post protest and questions over this announcement.

Absolute waste of people's money to have an absolutely unnecessary by election!

Has Anwar given up hope of ever capturing Putrajaya and becoming the PM?

Is Anwar confident enough that the people in Kajang will be blinded by the betrayal of Lee Chin Cheh, to then put Lee's boss as the ADUN there? 

This is just an attempt to divert our attention from Anwar's upcoming court case for liwat - Simple!!

Is Azmin part of this masterplan or is he being played again? 

What is to happen to the PKR-PAS-DAP coalition, when the Menteri Besar of their choice, Khalid, is threatened to be removed by just one man?

People of Kajang need to say it loud and clear:

"We will not allow power-hungry politicians to treat us like pawns on a chess board. The betrayal of Lee and PKR is absolutely unacceptable! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!"

AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE

I found this article again by accident just now when I was doing some file clean-up in my laptop. And it brought back memories of my time in Scope International. I just thought I'd share this with you...

MY 1st EARTH QUAKE EXPERIENCE

I remember it was late Wednesday evening on 30^th September 2009. I am a Service Manager with Scope International and my office is located in LYL Tower in Petaling Jaya, just next to the Federal Highway.

I have just finished my shift that day. And as always, I decided to stay back a while to complete some pending items. I have to say that the day have not been kind on any of us, with calls pending more than we could cope. SLA dropped very quickly. Everyone was busy. Everyone was intense! And once in a while, I could hear the Duty Manager shouting, “remove wrap-up!!!”. A routine environment that I have gotten used to over the past couple of weeks due to our busy season.

I continued working on my pending items. 

Although I realize that I only have two hands, but I tried to complete a few items at once hoping to finish my work faster. Suddenly (I am not sure what time was it, but for a split second), I could swear that the room actually came to a complete silence. I didn't bother about it at first and continued with my work, when something unthinkable happened… 

My whole body started to sway uncontrollably! 

I was swaying in a soft circular motion. I quickly grabbed the side my desk and my immediate reaction was:

"Oh god!! This is it… I am having a heart attack!!"

And my thoughts quickly raced to those many years of smoking and it is finally taking its toll. My heart is now failing me. So, I started to pray.

"Ya Allah, please have mercy on my soul"

I put my right palm on my chest to check my heart beat, and to my relief, it was beating normally. Eh, wait a minute, NORMAL?? How could that be?

"Hmm.. if my heart is fine, then why is my body swaying uncontrollably?" I asked to myself.

Whatever it is, I told myself that I am not taking any chances. While I continue to think of possible reasons for my body to sway, I did a quick scan of the area around me to ensure there are no sharp objects as I prepare for a ‘safe’ fall (just in case). 

I closed my eyes and put my head back to rest. I begin to stretch both my arms forward and slowly moving it upwards while taking in a deep breath. I remember this tips from my rugby coach back in college, Mr Brown, who said that this would help better blood circulation. I wanted to repeat this for several more times, when I realized something else was happening around me.

I opened my eyes and I could see a few people standing up looking at each other. They looked more puzzled than panic. I could also see some of them rushing towards the door as if they were late for a very important meeting. What is goin on??

An announcement from my boss, Jason, confirmed that I was not the only one who felt ‘dizzy’.

"Everybody please remain calm!!" he announced.

Jason looked out the window and try to figure out what was going on. I am not sure what he saw from the window, but he ordered a full evacuation immediately after. 

Panic started to built!

Some, including me, responded immediately and rushed towards the door. But I noticed that many were still unaware of the danger. I could see them taking their time packing their things before evacuating. Perhaps it was almost at the end of their shift. So, they might be thinking that it would good for the take their things with them and they can just go home after that. 

I quickly announced: "Leave your things behind and safe your life first!!"

I continued to rush towards the door. But the crowd soon got stuck in a bottleneck at the door. For some reason, the crowd was moving very slowly. Within the crowd, I could hear people asking one another what is happening and what to do. It was not until another manager came and opened the door wide, that the crowd started to flow again.

"You don’t have to tag out, guys. JUST GO!!" he announced.

Thanks to that manager, the bottleneck soon eases down and I was on my way again towards the staircase. I later found out that people were still followed the ‘NO TAILGATING’ rule. This is actually a good practice - on normal circumstances that is. But in an emergency situation such as this, it causes bottleneck because only one person can exit at one time.

While on my way to the staircase, I came to another surprise. Some people are actually waiting for the lift!! I am aware of the real danger, so I made another announcement

"This is not a drill, people. Do not use the lift. Proceed to the staircase now!" I announced.

And I proceeded, once again, towards the staircase. When I finally got down, there were about a thousand people gathered just outside the building. Some were really shaken by the incident, some were engaged in a serious discussion, but there were also some laughing. I could not hear what they were talking about, but I am pretty sure that they were all talking about the quake. I quickly joined my friends, who were gathered just by the side of the guard house. Everybody was re-counting their experience.

Our former boss, Mr Goh, just could not stop laughing at himself. He told us that he was actually talking on the phone when he felt the quake. So, he quickly ended the call, put the phone down and rushed out. Only when he reached down that he realized that he was actually on a mobilephone!

"Mobile phones are meant to be mobile, right! So, why.. oh why did I left my mobilephone on the table. Aiyo.. I could have just brought it down with me lah" he told us and everyone laughed.

My Head of Department, Jason, also had a funny experience to tell us. He was having a discussion with thee Operation Manager, Alvin, when he started to feel dizzy. He immediately blamed the black coffee he just had that evening.

"Oh god! I shouldn't have taken that black coffee just now..........."

"Now my head is spinning!!" said Jason.

"Err.. Jason, I didn't have any coffee today, but why is my head spinning too?" Alvin responded.

They looked at each other and realized that they were not the only ones. It is not their heads that was spinning, but an actual earthquake was occurring. 

Another story was from a Service Banker, Nadhia, who told us that she got scolded by a friend during the quake.

"Stop shaking my cubicle, Nadhia!!" a friend scolded Nadhia.

The friend thought that Nadhia was playing around with her chair and making the cubicle shake.

"It wasn't me!!" she defended herself. 

“My cubicle is also shaking laa!!” and they looked at each other in confusion.

Everyone was unsure what was going on and what to do. Like me, this was the first earth quake experience for most of us. The building management finally declared the building to be safe at around 7:30pm and business was back as usual within hours of that experience. Nonetheless, it was an unforgettable experience, proving that we are really unprepared for the unexpected.

That night, the quake was all over the news. It originated from Padang, a district in Indonesia and was measured to be 7.9 at Richter scale. It was so strong that it that took the live of thousands, and wounded many more. It destroyed many buildings and houses in Padang and causes tsunami alerts to be triggered around the region. The alerts were later lifted within hours. 

I was made humbled by the reports. Although the alerts were lifted and business were back as usual for all of us here, but the lives of many in Padang remains shattered.

What I felt was just a soft sway and that was enough to cause panic in my office and the surrounding area. I could only imagine what it could have felt like for the people of Padang. They have just suffered a great lost. They lost their children, their parents, their brothers, their sisters, their uncles, their aunties. They lost their friends, their homes, their playground, their schools. 

But worse of all, they have just lost their hope and their future!! May Allah help them rebuild their lives.

Prophet Insulting video "Innocence of Muslims" is not just a Muslim problem

It's been a while since I blog, but the making of the video 'Innocence of Muslims' have really bothered me. The video was written and directed by this individual named Sam Bacile (Real name - Nakoula Basseley Nakoula), an Egyptian-born Coptic Christian currently living in California, America.

After watching the video, I can understand why Muslims around the world are angered by this video. It is a total insult to all Muslims. And for what purpose? Why would anyone want to insult our prophet? 

I can't speak for other religion, but in Islam we are taught to respect others of a different religion. This is clearly stated in the Holy Quran...

Having said that and having a lot of non-Muslim friends, I believe that no religion in this world teaches or allows its people to mock anyone, let alone a prophet of another religion. Although Sam Bacile is a Coptic Christian, I will not be going around and release my anger to all Coptic Christian or Christians generally because I know that Sam Bacile did not make the video based on Christian's teachings. I am very sure of that.

In recent years, I have read of how Muslims and Coptic Christians live harmoniously.

1. A week after the 2010 New Year's eve attack on the Coptic Orthodox Church is the city of Alexandria, thousands of Muslims stood as human shield outside churches to protect their Coptic Christian friends as they attend the Christmas Masses on January 6 & 7, 2011.

2. In the midst of the 2011 Egyptian Revolution, Coptic Christians were seen to hold hands to provide protective cordon around their Muslim neighbors during solat (Muslim prayers).

If Muslims and Coptic Christian in other places protect each other, why would Sam Bacile want to made that insulting video? What was he hoping for? And he even cheated his actors and actresses into thinking that they were actually making a totally different film called "Desert Warrior", which has no reference whatsoever to any religion. The actors and actresses were shocked when this film was released, but they are powerless to stop it. click here

If there is any Coptic Christian reading this - I would love hear your view on Sam Bacile. But I truly believe that Sam Bacile's action has nothing to do with his religion.

I am blessed to be a Malaysian, where people of different religion and race can live alongside each other harmoniously. I have a lot of non-Muslim friends and I am proud of that. We have always been respectful of each other, especially on matters of religion.

This insulting video is not just a Muslim problem. It has no morale or religious standing. It should be condemn by all humans regardless of religion, race or nationality.

UPDATE : Before you read the rest of this post, let me update you this. I just learned that this video is already 1 year old. The girl in the video is the biological mother of the baby and she has already been arrested on that same day that this video first came out a year ago. She is currently serving jail time of 18 months.

The baby could only be a few months old. This girl slapped and kicked the baby like it was just a pillow! Maybe someone should give this girl a taste of her own medicine, and see how she like it! At this point, I am unsure if this girl is the mother of the baby or a baby sitter or a family member, but whoever she is.. she is insane and should be locked up! 

And to that girl's voice in the background (who I assume is the same person taking the video) - you are equally guilty!! How could you stood there and do nothing when this baby was abuse in front of your eyes??? 

And if my assumption is correct, that you are the one taking this video, then you are equally insane!! You merely said "Ira...!! Ira....!!!", when you can clearly see that this baby was powerless and helpless against the beating and kicking of this insane girl!! 

At one point, you said it yourself "Kau nak bunuh dia ke??", proving that you are fully aware of how insane this is.. and you did nothing????

I can tell you this - If the girl who was beating the baby in this video goes down, YOU ARE GOING DOWN WITH HER!!

If anyone know how to trace this video back to the original source or could help to identify the location of this place, I would really like to know!

As I have updated above, there is no need to try and look for this lady now because she has already been arrested and serving jail time, which would end at the end of this year.

But now it triggered a few other questions in my head :

• 18 months jail time... That's it???? I mean that's the best sentence for an 'attempted murder'??
• And what's going to happen to the baby?? Will this lady be given full custody of the baby again after she is released?
• And what about the voice of a lady in the background of the video? She suffered nothing??

Hmmmmm.................

NAYATI SAFELY RETURN TO HIS FAMILY

** Read my earlier post on Nayati's abduction here **

I am sure you would have already read or heard by now the wonderful news about Nayati's return to his family. A news that give relief, not only to Nayati and his family, but also everyone around the world who have been following the development of Nayati's abduction.  Nayati was earlier abducted on 27th April 2012, while he was walking to school that Friday morning. The news of his abduction quickly spreads throughout the world. Support and well-wishes poured in. I trailed many other and wrote about the abduction with hope that maybe of of my reader has any information on the abduction.

Thank god the nightmare finally ended. On 3rd May 2012, after almost a week of traumatic and uncertainty, the world was pleasantly surprised and relieved to the news of Nayati's release.

Moodliar's family's spokesman has this to say : 

"We are delighted to tell you that Nayati is back home with us and although it has obviously been a very traumatic time for him, he appears at this stage to be in good shape. We are unable to find words to express our gratitude but we will never forget what they did for us.Even more surprising, because it was so unexpected, has been the support of people whom we have never met - and are never likely to meet - in countries as far away as Zambia and the USA, who have offered their time, skills and, in many cases, money, without any expectation of any form of compensation. We are so grateful for their help"

BERSIH 3.0: THE IMPORT OF RIOT CULTURE INTO MALAYSIA

These images above are definitely NOT a Malaysian culture. We are a multi-racial, multi-religion nation, who have learnt to accept and tolarate each other for at least half a century since MERDEKA. Why bring in a negative foreign culture?

I really don't get what BERSIH is trying to achieve by bringing in this culture of riot into our blessed nation. Clean and Fair election... how?? Through violence and creating unrest among the people?? Well, let's recall the last General Election (GE12) in 2008 and try to understand what are they really protesting about.

During GE-12 in 2008, the ruling party BN (although not defeated) suffered a rather humiliating result. 

• BN lost control of two money-making states, which are Selangor and Penang. 
• They also lost two culturally-rich states, which are Perak and Kedah. 
• They failed to regain control of Kelantan 
• Thay would also have lost Kuala Lumpur, if it's not for Kuala Lumpur being a federal territory. 
• In that same election, BN saw some of their political giants fell, including Datuk Seri S Samy Velu (The then President of MIC, who was also Road and Transport Minister), Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon (The then President of Gerakan, who was also Chief Minister of Penang).
• BN also lost their two-third majority in parliment, which they have enjoyed since independance.

I wonder why BERSIH or the opposition parties did not protest these results? If we claimed that the election is not clean and fair, then it should also be the same for elections in Selangor, Penang, Perak, Kedah, Kelantan and Kuala Lumpur. Why recognize the results where Pakatan Rakyat (PR) won and don't recognize the result where PR lost? If we are really protesting a 'corrupt' system. We should not even be in that system. We should demand for the system to be changed. Why participate in the system - support it if we won, protest against it if we lose?? Isn't that hypocrisy? 

A special body have also been setup to review and suggest improvement plans for our current election mechanics, all of what BERSIH 2.0 has demanded for. The opposition leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, is also part of that special body.

What are their demands?

2011 BERSIH 2.0 - demanded for these 8 items.

1. Clean up the Electoral List - Demand Met! Election Commission (EC) have done a massive clean up in the electoral list. Ironically, areas that seem to have a high number of discrepencies are those areas that PR won in the last election. EC have also been asking for list of discrepencies for the public if they pick up any, so EC can look into it. At the same time, EC have agreed to fully enforce the current law to punish those who gave false perticulars to vote.

2. Reform the Postal Votes - Demand Met! Malaysian Citizen can now vote from abroad if there resides outside of Malaysia.

3. Usage of the Permanent Ink - Demand Met! EC have already approved this and it will be used in the up coming election.

4. Press and Media Freedom - Demand Met! EC have agreed to give media access to all parties and candidates who is taking part in the election.

5. Extend the campaign period to a minimum 21 days - Demand Met! Although not to 21 days, but EC have agreed to extend the campaigning period from current 7 days to 10 days.

6. Improve Public Institutions - Demand Met! Although this is not directly related to election mechanics, but continuous visible efforts have been put in place to improve all public institutions.

7. Eliminate Corruption - Demand Met! Although this is not directly related to election mechanics, but government have always been serious about this. It is more obvious when recently many high profile cases have been brought to court and many monitoring system have also been put in place to combat corruptions.

8. Stop Dirty Politics - Unsure what this demand is referring to?


2012 BERSIH 3.0 - And what are their demands?


Same demands!? Why are they demanding for things that has already been met??

It is clear now that BERSIH has very little to do with election. This really got people asking, what are they ACTUALLY protesting about? What is the hidden agenda behind that yellow banner? 

Here's a theory - The person leading the BERSIH is none other then Datuk Ambiga, who many believed to have ulterior motives (even beyond politics) to bring in the sexual freedom into Malaysia under the umbrella of Sexualiti Merdeka. Maybe she knows that if the opposition is successful in capturing Putrajaya and form the federal government, then Sexualiti Merdeka will definitely be welcomed into the country on a red carpet.

In a press statement, Ambiga tried to be politically-correct by saying :

"I am mindful of the position of the major religions as to the issue of homosexuality. But this does not mean that we cannot show understanding and sensitivity to a marginalized community who suffer oppression and mental and even physical abuse, because of who they are. It does not mean that we have a right to treat them badly and to attack them mercilessly. It doesn't mean that they have no right.  The recent reaction (even to the extent of calling them animals) underscores precisely the point"

Here's a text message from one of the participant of BERSIH, proving its link to Sexualiti Merdeka.

I wrote about Sexualiti Merdeka and LGBT group a few weeks ago in my blog. And my stand on that is very clear. Here's what I would say to Datuk Ambiga...

Dear Ambiga, 

No one is talking about their right to own a house in Malaysia, no one is talking about their right to earn an honest living, no one is talking about their right to vote, no one is talking about their right to travel, no one is talking about their right to shop or cook or make friends. They continue to enjoy those rights!

But we are denouncing their so-called 'right' to practice and promote homosexual in a nation that denouces homosexuality!! How can we support something that Allah and His prophets has already denounced clearly?? By you suggesting that we accept this is already an insult!!

Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is also in the frontline to support Ambiga in her cause. But instead of riding on BERSIH for his own political milage last Saturday, Anwar was caught on video as the person responsible for turning the rally from a peaceful one into a violence one.

The video showed the protestors group on one side were chanting peacefully and the police group on the other side were just looking. Both groups were devided by police barricade and the situation were under control.

Until Anwar signaled to PKR Deputy President, Azmin Ali to breach the police barricade, which Azmin did!! And all hell broke lose after that. Police had to then resort to Water Canon and Tear Gas to disburse the out-of-control crowd. So, those stories we hear saying that the the violence were triggered by police SBs posing themselves as BERSIH crowd, were completely false.

Unless if we are saying that Anwar and Azmin are police SBs!! Hmmmm.... are they??


During a press conference later, Anwar was openly questioned by one participant of BERSIH itself. Questions that Anwar find it difficult to answer.

ABDUCTED - HELP FIND NAYATI !!

Friday, 27th April 2012 - There has been another abduction! This time, it is 12 year-old Nayati Shamelin Moodlier, who is currently still missing. Nayati is a student in Mont' Kiara International School. He was on his way to school that Friday morning, when witnesses saw two men grabbed him into a black car at around 7:35am near his home.

 

SHOCKING!! It was just about a month ago that I wrote in my blog about the tragic end of an abduction victim, 5 year-old Nurul Nadhirah, who was found burned to death at a palm oil plantation. (For the full story on Nurul Nadhirah, click here).

I really want to do something.. but to be honest, I don't know what COULD I do help. Where do I start looking to Nayati??

Well, let me start by writing this blog, hoping that maybe some of my readers have some information to help this poor kid and of course his worried family.

STORY OF A TWISTED DEATH

Some of my favorite TV series are the investigation kind. CSI, Law & Order, Castle and NCIS to name a few. I am always drawn into how the cases were investigated and the twists and dramas of those TV series. Sometimes the twist are so mind-boggling that it made me said "Whatttt???" : )

But this post is NOT about the TV series - it is about a real story of a twisted death. Those TV series are obviously fiction, but have you ever wonder how close those TV series are to our real life?

A friend of mine, Heni, recently shared a story she found in some magazine titled "Murder or Suicide". The story is so twisted that I had to read it twice to fully understand what happened. 

Let me try to put it in my own words...

It's a story about a man named Ronald Opus, who tried to commit suicide by jumping off the top of a 10-story building. Ronald left a suicide note indicating what he was about to do and then he jumped!

Was he successful in his suicide attempt? Yes, but not as how he had intended it to be.

Twist 1: When Ronald jumped off that 10-story building, he had no idea that a safety net have just been installed below the 8th floor to protect some building workers.

Phew!! So, the safety net that was installed should have saved Ronald's life, right? 

Twist 2: The safety net should have saved Ronald's life, BUT.... while he was falling passed the 9th floor, a bullet passed through the window and hit him, causing him to die an instant death while his lifeless body continued to land softly on the safety net.

Police investigation later reveals that an elderly man was arguing with his wife at the 9th floor at the time Ronald jumped off the building. The elderly man had a shotgun pointed at his wife while they vigorously argued. Out of rage, the elderly man suddenly pulled the trigger and the shotgun exploded. The bullet, however, missed his wife completely and went through the window instead, just as Ronald Opus passes by their window. What a timing!!

When police questioned the elderly couple later, they were both adamant that the shotgun was not loaded. The elderly man admitted that he has a long standing habit of threatening his wife with an unloaded shotgun every time they argue. A habit that his wife has gotten used to and she confirmed her husband's story. They were both surprised when the shotgun fired that day. The elderly man don't remember ever loading the shotgun.

So who loaded the gun??

Twist 3: When police investigate the case further, a witness confirmed that he saw the couple's son loading the gun 6 weeks prior to the fatal incident. It was later learned that the mother had cut her son off any financial support. The son is obviously furious about that and knowing his father's bad habit of threatening his mother with the shotgun every time they argue, the son loaded the gun with the hope that his father would one day pull the trigger and kill his mother.

Now, are you ready for the final twist??

Twist 4: The final twist in this story is a real killer. Further investigation reveals that the elderly couple's son was indeed Ronald Opus!!! 

Due to financial stress and his continued failure to engineer his mother's murder has led Ronald to jump off the 10-story building, but only to be killed by the very bullet he himself have loaded into his father's shotgun.

The case was classified as suicide, but NOT as how it was intended to be.

Twisted isn't it???

TIBAI - What A Catchy Name!

Election fever is definitely in the air now.

Actually, I never intended for my blog to be a political one. However, the latest news in the political front really caught my attention - that is the establishment of an organization called 'TIBAI', which if we translate it into English means 'Bash Up'. Hehe.... 

TIBAI is actually an acronym made up from Malay words:

'Tolak Individu Bernama Anwar Ibrahim',

Translated in English as 'Denounce That Individual Named Anwar Ibrahim'.

And that individual being referred to in the acronym is none other than Anwar Ibrahim, the current opposition leader in the Malaysian politics.

The ironic thing about this is - TIBAI is not formed by Anwar's political enemies, but it is actually formed by people who used to be strong supporters of Anwar Ibrahim. Some of them have gone through hardship and have even been arrested for the violence they participated in support of Anwar Ibrahim before. 

Well, of course NOW they can consider themselves as Anwar's political enemies.

Big names in the leadership of TIBAI includes... 

Zaid Md Arip 

(Ex-PKR member and a strong reformist since the 'Reformasi' era in 1998)

Senator Ezam Mohd Noor 

(Ex-PKR Youth Chief and one of the founder of PKR)

Actually, for political observers in Malaysia, the formation of TIBAI news did not really come as a big surprise. But the name is very catchy indeed!

It is a known fact that the opposition, especially PKR, has been hit with leadership crisis since a few years ago, which saw many of their top guns abandoning the party.

Anwar's personal problems like the sodomy case and the video (purportedly) showing him having sex with a Chinese prostitute, be it politically-motivated or not, did not help the worsening situation of his party.

Anwar Ibrahim is indeed a public figure in Malaysia, who needs very little introduction. His rebellious nature is well-known to friends and foes since the 70s, where he often led his fellow university students to protest against the government. 

But his stand against the government later changed drasticcally when the then Education Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir (now Tun) took a bold move to invite Anwar into UMNO. Mahathir's move raised eye brows among friends and foes alike. And Anwar's decision to accept Dr Mahathir's invitation shocked them even more. Overnight, Anwar's protest against the government has suddenly changed to being a strong support.

Anwar's support for Dr Mahathir and  the BN government was so strong that his political rivals at that time, who are members of PAS and DAP, labelled him as Ultra-Malay! And  Anwar in return labelled PAS and DAP as extremist!

When Dr Mahathir became the 4th Prime Minister, Anwar was also making his way up the ranks of UMNO and eventually landed himself in the Deputy Premier seat after his controversial victory against the late Tun Ghaffar Baba.

Anwar was seen as the political son to Dr Mahathir and Anwar was set to take over the premiership from his 'father' to become the next Prime Minister, when the un-thinkable happened - Rumors of Anwar's sexual orientation surfaced!!

The rumors started from among the oppositions when PAS member, Mat Sabu, called Anwar as 'Anwar Al-Juburi' in one of his ceramah. This was then echoed by other opposition leaders like Lim Kit Siang and Karpal Singh. They demanded for Anwar's removal from the Malaysian cabinet.

The rumors grew stronger by the day and it finally penetrated into UMNO. This led to a historical event in Malaysian politics, when Dr Mahathir sacked Anwar in 1998 as the Deputy Prime Minister and removed him from the cabinet and UMNO as well.

Everyone remembered how irony that episode was -- Anwar was sacked by the very person who invited him into UMNO and helped him up the rank -- his very own political father -- Dr Mahathir.

It reminded everyone of the ever popular film "Anakku Sazali", by the lagendary P Ramlee.

That marked another turning point in Anwar political life. And like before, within overnight, his stand on the government changes drastically once again. PAS and DAP leaders, who used to label him as 'Anwar Al-Juburi' and who started the whole rumors about Anwar's sexual orientation, has now become his political ally.

While his former friends and allies, who have been with him throughout the many changes in his political life has now formed TIBAI, which aims to expose the 'Real Anwar' to Malaysian and the world.

Let's see what they have got hidden in the closet......
