FUTSAL TOURNAMENT!!!

Last Saturday, me and my team perticipated in a Futsal Tournament organized by our company. The tournament was held at Sunway Extreme Park Futsal Court. Everybody had LOADS of fun.

We were devided into 6 colour coded teams - Black, Blue, Red, White, Orange & Yellow. The event started off with a briefing from the organizing committee and the first kick-off took place at 10:30am. I was entrusted to be the goal keeper for the Black Team. Something I have never done before!! Hehe...

My team played very well in the tournament and we emerged as the CHAMPION!!! I am proud of my team mates of the BLACK TEAM - SYED, PRASHAD, AZLINAH, RAJ, MOHD KAMAL.

The celebration continues when two more awards was given to my team mates

• Syed was named as the TOP SCORER
• Azlinah was named as the BEST FEMALE PLAYER

 THE GAMES

Group 1 - Qualifying
The Red Team showed early dominence for Group 1 in the qualifying round. They won both the qualifying matches against the Blue Team and the Orange Team, sending the Orange Team packing!

Group 2 - Qualifying
The Black Team and the White Team trashed the Yellow Team mercilessly in this qualifying round, securing their places in the semis.

Semi Finals
The first Semi Final was between the Red Team and the White Team. It was an even match and each team can be seen pushing their limits to put themselves in the final. The White eventually had to admit defeat, when the match ended with the Red winning by 4 to 3.

The second Semi Final saw the Black Team going against the Blue Team. It was a rather balanced match too with both teams refuses to give up on going to the final. At the time the end whistle was blown, the Black Team secured their place in the final by winning the match 6 to 4.

3rd Place Match
Having lost their match in the semi final, the White Team and the Blue Team met each other to secure the 3rd placing. It was a balance match, but the Blue Team secure their place on the podium by winning the match by 3 to 2.

FINAL
CLASH OF THE TITANS - The final was between the strongest of the 6 teams. It was a close match. Although all the players were already tired at this point after playing 3 matches before that, but the spirit burns on. In the end, the Red Team have had to settle for 2nd place, after losing to the Black Team.
